Can I change my GPU, CPU, RAM, etc to something not on your site?
The hardware you see available on the website for each laptop model is the hardware that can fitted to that model from the factory. We'd like to offer everything for every laptop but this just isn't possible. However, you are free to upgrade to whatever compatible hardware you would like to install on your system.
Do your laptops have overheating problems?
Each laptop we offer features a highly efficient cooling system that pulls heat away from the laptop's core components and passes it outside of the laptop case. This prevents overheating, ensuring your system runs with rock-solid stability.
Do your laptops run school and office programs?
Absolutely. The rule of thumb with computers is, "if it can run games, it can run everything else". Every laptop we offer will be just as good for work as it is for play.
If I order today, when will my laptop ship?
Our standard turn-around time is 3-5 business days after receiving payment. After that, it depends on your shipping method. With next day shipping you'll get your laptop the next day – and with standard shipping your laptop will arrive after 3-6 days.

Orders
Do you offer financing?
We, unfortunately, do not offer financing at this point.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Credit Cards, PayPal eChecks, Money Orders, Personal Checks, and Wire Transfers. All international orders must use a Wire Transfer for payment. Personal checks take 2-3 business days to clear. We prefer PayPal eChecks and offer a discount on eCheck orders. PayPal eChecks earn this discounted pricing because this payment method saves money by allowing us to avoid credit card processing fees.
How long do orders take to process?
It takes about 24 hours to process your configuration and the build phase takes between 3 and 5 days depending on your model. After your system is built, it undergoes a 96-hour stress test to ensure complete system stability. After it passes inspection, it is packaged and shipped to you. Final delivery time is dependent on the shipping method you chose.
Will my package be insured for shipping?
Yes, all orders are fully insured. All orders are shipped in excellent, super-safe packaging. However, in the event that your system is damaged upon arrival, you will be fully covered.
How do I cancel an order?
If you decide to cancel your order, contact us at support@factorgaming.com or 1-800-783-4187. All orders are custom-built and once they are shipped they cannot be stopped in transit. If you choose you cancel your order after your system has been shipped, you will be responsible for shipping fees.
Technical Support
Why do I only see 3GB of RAM when I ordered my system with 4GB?
You either ordered a 32-bit operating system or reverted your 64-bit operating system back to a 32-bit version on your system with 4GB of installed memory. 32-bit operating systems are physically limited to roughly 3.2GB of memory. Your RAM isn't missing or hasn't gone bad. It'll show up when you switch back to 64-bit.
My laptop will no longer boot to windows. What happened?
Make sure the power supply is fully inserted into the laptop (they can sometimes require a bit of force to push in all the way) and that the power supply is plugged in and that the outlet it is plugged into is functioning properly. If it is, check to see if the data and power cords are properly connected in the hard drive bay(s) of the laptop. If these do not solve your problem, contact Factor Support either via email (support@factorgaming.com) or by calling technical support 1-800-741-2219.
I hear sound, but my screen stays black. Is my display bad?
Probably not. Try pressing the function key [Fn] and the display source key (usually one of the F1-F12 keys) between one and three times. This will switch your graphics output from the external DVI/VGA connector to the laptop's display. If this does not resolve your issue, contact Factor Support either via email (support@factorgaming.com) or by calling technical support 1-800-741-2219.

Warranty
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers parts and labor for the computer system itself only. If your computer system develops an issue that cannot be resolved over the phone, Factor Gaming will cover all shipping costs (back and forth) within the first 30 days of receiving your machine. After the first 30 days, you are responsible for shipping costs to our service center.
What is your return policy?
All orders receive a 30-day no questions asked return guarantee - starting from the day your system is shipped to you. Because all orders are custom-built, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping to and from our assembly plant. All refunds paid will be made by business check.
How do I return an order?
Call us at 1-800-783-4187 or email customer support (support@factorgaming.com). Be sure to provide your order number for the most efficient service. We will provide you with an RMA number and a shipping address. Ship the system to the provided address (preferably in the original shipping packaging) and write the RMA number visibly on the outside of the box.
Upgrades
Can I upgrade my system?
Yes. Our systems are built on an open architecture, meaning you are free to upgrade nearly every component of your system with parts from any vendor. For compatibility questions, just contact support@factorgaming.com.
Can Factor Gaming upgrade my system for me?
If you would like to upgrade your machine but aren't comfortable opening your system yourself Factor Gaming can install the upgrade(s) for you for a small labor fee. Just ship your system to our facility along with the component(s) you wish installed.
